The Elder Scrolls Online - Clockwork City, Witches Festival and a fresh patch. The Elder Scrolls Online - Clockwork City, Witches Festival and the latest Teso patch Witches Festival walkthrough

As the nights grow longer and the year slips into darkness, the inhabitants of Tamriel challenge their superstitious fears during the annual Witches' Festival. Join in the fun as ghosts, demons and evil spirits are mocked and worshiped through occult rituals and outrageous costumes, all the more convincing in a world where ghosts are real and the dead rise from their graves.

Accelerate your experience gain and become undead

During this time, you'll be able to enjoy a 100% XP buff, gain polymorph to turn into an undead, and a variety of unique Witches' Festival themed items.

To take part in the festival, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Holiday section of the Crown Store and receive a free Crow Decoy
    2. Complete The Witchmother's Bargain by collecting a pumpkin and some worms, defeating any dungeon boss to receive his Essence of Death, and delivering these items to the Witch to receive the Witch's Whistle collectible.

If you completed this quest during last year's Witches Festival, you do not need to complete the quest to obtain the Whistle - you can simply use it from the collection menu.

    1. Use the whistle to call the Witch's Cauldron and get a 2-hour 100% experience bonus for yourself and your party members
    2. Use the Witch's Cauldron to turn your character into an undead creature. Don't worry, this won't last forever.

Please note that you do not need to use the Witch's Cauldron to receive the experience bonus (the whistle gives it)

Get disgusting rewards

In addition to the bonus experience gained during the Festival, you will be able to obtain some themed items that will allow you to keep Tamriel's many monsters at bay.

During the festival, all bosses (such as World Bosses or those guarding Dungeons, Group Dungeons, Public Dungeons, Trials, Arenas, and Dark Anchors) can drop Skulls. To receive them, it is not necessary that the experience bonus or undead polymoth be active.

Skulls are special containers that, when opened, have a chance to receive the following rare items:

  • Hollow Jack Style Pages or Book
  • Rune boxes containing one of the following masks: Pumpkin Ghost Mask, Scarecrow Ghost Mask, Hollow Jack Ghost Mask, Mask of the Thicket Ghost
  • Witches Festival Recipes
  • Furniture and furniture schemes
  • Style items (needed to create armor/weapons in this style)
  • ...and an assortment of creepy items like worms, caterpillars, guts and other goodies!

Find new spooky items in the Crown Store

A variety of supernatural items will also be added to the in-game store during the Festival, including a Zombie Horse mount, a Nightmare Demon mask set, and more. Don't miss your chance to get your hands on some of these unique and terrifying items!

Summon ghosts in your new home

Do you need a place to practice your unholy sorcery away from prying eyes? Banished Sabbat Cottage will be available for purchase with crowns in the Crown Store throughout the Festival, and if you earn the "An Unsparing Harves" achievement, you will be able to purchase this house with in-game gold!

To get the "An Unsparing Harves" achievement, you need to complete the following achievements:

  • "Happy Work for Hollowjack"
  • "Plunder Skull Enthusiast"

If you earned these achievements in last year's Festival, you will not need to earn them again this year. To see what achievements you've already unlocked or to track your current progress, look at the Celebration section in the Achievements menu.

Attention: you will not be able to buy this house with either crowns or in-game gold when the Festival ends.

Witches Festival, the first in-game holiday event in The Elder Scrolls Online, has begun! Find out how to take part in this spooky Tamrielic festival and what special things you can earn from it.

The Witches' Festival, a traditional and ancient autumn event, begins on the 13th day of Frostfall (October 13), ushering in the annual clash of religion and magic. Until the end of the month, all demonologists, sorcerers, lamias, magicians and thaumaturges gather in the remote and secret places of Tamriel to indulge in the revelry of witchcraft, enchantment and summoning; and the vicious creatures created or summoned by them can then terrorize Tamriel indefinitely!

Spirits are worried, undead are rising from ancient tombs, and brave adventurers are given special tasks and, as a reward for completing them, all sorts of incredible things, frightening treasures and outstanding achievements.

To join the dangerous festival, visit the Crown Store and receive a free Crow Caller. Blow into it to emit a deathly bird cry, which will begin the quest “The Witchmother’s Bargain”. Upon completion of the quest, you will receive the Witchmother's Whistle, which can be used to summon the Witchmother's Cauldron. This industrious boiling vessel will transform you and everyone in your party into terrifying-looking undead. The effect of the polymorph will last two hours, but it can be used as many times as desired until the first day of the month of Sunset (November 1).

By killing bosses while undead, you have a chance to receive a Robber's Skull, which, when opened, will reveal special Witches' Festival items, including masks (fell in the headgear section), special holiday culinary recipes, Pumpkin Jack craft style pieces (Hollowjack) and much more!

But keep in mind - when the festival ends, you will be able to keep this ominous Witchmother's whistle as a souvenir, but all its supernatural power will be gone, so don't waste another day of this time-limited event!

As the nights grow longer and Halloween looms on the horizon, Tamriel's traditional holiday, the Witches' Festival, comes to the world of The Elder Scrolls Online.

In this material, I will try to tell you in detail how to take part in the celebration of the festival and what rewards TESO players can expect for completing the event.

Excursion to ENT

Before we start telling you about the actual rewards and how the Witches Festival will work in TESO, let's look at the game's lore to better understand what kind of festival this is.

The Witches Festival is celebrated on the 13th day of the Beginning of Frost according to the Tamriel calendar (October 13 in ours). It is believed that on this day the forces of religion and magic collide. In fact, the Witches Festival is a time when sorcerers meet in the remote places of Tamriel and indulge in witchcraft, reviving the dead and summoning otherworldly creatures that will plague the inhabitants of the Empire for a long time.

During the Witches Festival, each player can run around in the guise of this stylish skeleton

Ordinary citizens prefer to just have fun and have fun, however, only the bravest ones leave the cities on this day and go on trips to remote places.

Unfortunately, there is no more information about the Witches Festival in TES. Unfortunately, we do not know either the traditions or the reasons for this holiday.

In The Elder Scrolls Online

Now let's return to the world of TESO and talk about the Witches Festival, which awaits us here. In 2017, the celebration will take place from October 20 to November 1. Apparently the game administration decided to deviate from the canonical October 13th in order to make this holiday closer to Halloween.

To take part and fully enjoy all the goodies provided by the developers, you will need to go to the donation store and find the “Crow Caller” or Crow Whistle item there. Don't worry, the item is free to borrow.

After using the item, you will receive the quest “The Witchmother’s Bagrain”. If you have already completed it in previous years, then you will not have to do it again, and you can find the whistle in the collections menu.

Upon completion of the quest, using the whistle, you will summon a cauldron, which will give you and your group a 2-hour buff of 100% to the experience gained. In addition, the cauldron will allow you to turn into the undead.

Drop from bosses

In addition to the buff and the ability to change the appearance of the character, during the Witches Festival in TESO you will receive additional rewards from bosses in instances, public dungeons, world bosses and anchor bosses.

By the way, unlike last year, to receive an additional reward you do not need the experience buff or half-morph to be active.

The cauldrons are bubbling, giving us a valuable experience buff and a unique polymorph

The above bosses will drop Plender Skulls - containers in which you can find:

  • Pages or books of craft motifs in honor of the Witches Festival;
  • Special themed masks;
  • Recipes for food and furnishings;
  • Stones for crafting items in the Hollowjack style.

Game store

To celebrate the Witches Festival in TESO, new items have been added to the in-game store. In addition to themed paints, you can purchase rare mounts and non-combat companions.

New home

During the Witches Festival, each player will be able to purchase a new house - Unsparing Harvest. Alas, you can immediately buy it only for crowns - donation currency. To be able to purchase a home with in-game gold, you will need to complete all the Witches Festival achievements in TESO.

This is the house players will be able to buy during the Witches Festival.

By the way, even if you have the opportunity to buy Unsparing Harvest in TESO, you will only be able to do this during the festival celebration. Not enough money? We'll have to wait until next year.

That's probably all that awaits us during the upcoming Witches Festival. Good luck to everyone who read the material to the end and have a nice celebration! By the way, if I forgot something or wrote it incorrectly, you can always correct me in the comments to this post.
