Have you ever thought that in order to find a treasure, you don’t have to travel to some incredible distance, but just look around your home, think, reflect and logically determine its location in your living areas? It turns out that this is quite possible; you should not assume that a treasure in your home is an idea from the realm of fantasy. Especially if the building is more than 50 years old. Old buildings are an ideal place where you can probably find a treasure, albeit small. After all, the concept of “treasure” does not necessarily mean a pot of gold - even a few coins, banknotes or jewelry from a century ago can be very valuable.

We all want to find something valuable in the ground, we all look for coins, sometimes we ask ourselves the question, how to find a treasure? We search for information on the Internet, read a lot of literature, go out in search of promising places, but, as a rule, we return empty, or at best we find a few coins.
The treasures were not hidden because of good times, or something happened and they were hidden in the ground for a quick fix, up to half a meter deep. Or somewhere in the house. It could be a floor, a stove, or even a well.

We will not search for famous treasures, such as “Treasure of Lenka Panteleev”, “Treasures of the Smolensk Bank” or even look for the “Library of Ivan the Terrible”.
I was so stupid once before. And I almost got lost in the Odessa catacombs. And all because of the search for the treasure of Mishka Jap. For four days I searched for a way out of the dungeon, and returned empty-handed, scared, hungry, dirty, and without any finds.

It’s hard to call it a treasure, because there are very few coins. But let's call it a greasy mess. I counted 15 coins with a face value of 2 kopecks. Cool in one word!!!
As one of the diggers who found this treasure says, “There are no knocked out places.” So, under this phrase, he went into battle with a metal detector. After an hour of active digging, this treasure trove of early tips was picked up. Coins with denomination 1921 and until 1930. Total 1309 coins.
Here is also an interesting treasure in the hat. As far as I know, there are 1 ruble and 50 royal kopecks here. And in those days they were made from precious metals. Result: 1 ruble 1737, half of 1723, 6 pieces of kopeck coins of 1744-1748, 14 pieces of nickels (crosses), 16 pieces of half rubles and 68 pieces of money.

How to find treasure without a metal detector?
This type of search is not doomed to failure, but the probability of success is not so high:
- Without specialized equipment, you can only rely on your eyes.
- It is worth starting excavations only if there is 100% confidence in the correctness of the chosen site.
- Information received from others and ancient maps are of great importance.
- Before choosing a search area, you should familiarize yourself with the history of the topography of the site - what was there before in this place, where the nearest settlements were located?

To know what exactly you might stumble upon, you need to understand the mechanism by which these treasures are created. Usually, various valuables and belongings were placed in durable chests or boxes. A decent-sized hole was dug right next to the house, into which people dumped their things, covering them with stones, earth, etc.
It is best to look for such caches in gardens and courtyards, in sheds and vegetable gardens. In some houses, the floorboards were dismantled, and a hole was dug into the foundation itself. The boxes were put there too. That is why it is so important to determine the location of the old building and its utility rooms before starting a treasure hunt.

You can dig in several ways - simply dig a hole or trench, or lay holes - remove the soil layer by layer and at a certain distance. If during your search you come across a coin or something like that, or some kind of shard, you are on the right path, don’t stop.
